When guests submit complaints through SaferCliq, we collect:

  • Complaint category (e.g., AC, WiFi, cleanliness)

  • Guest name (optional, for verification)

  • Resolution status and verification

1.2 Hotel Operational Data

Hotels using SaferCliq provide:

  • Hotel name and location
  • Hotel contact information
  • Staff names and IDs
  • Staff performance metrics
  • Room inventory and status
  • Billing and payment information

1.3 PBX Integration Data (if enabled)

If your hotel integrates SaferCliq with your PBX system, we collect: call duration and timestamps, extension numbers, call routing information, and staff extension assignments. Note: We do NOT record call audio or transcripts unless explicitly enabled and consented to.

1.4 Usage and Analytics Data

We automatically collect:

  • Login times and frequency
  • Features used and time spent
  • IP addresses and device information
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Crash reports and error logs

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Service Delivery

To provide, maintain, and improve SaferCliq services, including complaint tracking, resolution monitoring, and performance reporting.

2.2 Operational Intelligence

To identify patterns, trends, and insights about hotel operations, guest satisfaction, and staff performance specific to your hotel.

2.3 Proprietary Benchmarking Data

To create anonymized, aggregated insights about African hospitality industry trends—including complaint patterns, resolution times, seasonal variations, and best practices. These insights are SaferCliq's proprietary intellectual property used to:

  • Improve our service and algorithms
  • Provide benchmarking reports to subscribing hotels
  • Develop new features and products
  • Build competitive advantage in the hospitality sector

2.4 Billing and Account Management

To process payments, send invoices, and manage your subscription.

2.5 Customer Support

To respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.

2.6 Legal Compliance

To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal requests.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

3.1 What We Do NOT Share

We will NEVER:

  • Sell personal guest data to third parties
  • Share hotel operational data with competitors
  • Disclose staff personal information without consent
  • Share your data with marketing companies
  • Use your data for purposes other than those stated in this policy

3.2 What We DO Share

We may share anonymized, aggregated data:

  • With other SaferCliq hotels for benchmarking (if they subscribe)
  • With research institutions for hospitality industry research
  • With service providers who help us operate SaferCliq (under confidentiality agreements)

3.3 Service Providers

We use third-party service providers for: cloud hosting and storage, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics and monitoring. These providers are contractually obligated to use your data only to provide services to us and to maintain the confidentiality and security of your data.

We may disclose your information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable laws or legal processes, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, privacy, safety, or property of SaferCliq, users, or the public.

7. International Data Transfers

SaferCliq operates primarily in Nigeria. If we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including data protection agreements with recipients that meet or exceed Nigerian data protection standards.

SaferCliq is not intended for use by children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information and terminate the child's account.
